Considered Patio Chair Pads?

If you have chairs on your patio, then patio chair pads are a must! After all, life is too short to be uncomfortable. Patio chair pads can add that extra layer of cushion as well as serve a few other functions as well.

First of all, patio chair pads are a great inexpensive way to decorate a patio or deck. They come in so many colors and patterns. Use the pads to coordinate all of your patio furniture, or just to compliment certain pieces.

Although the patterns and materials are practically endless, stripes, plaids, floral, and other outdoor patterns are commonplace. The availability of so many patterns and colors works well with almost any type of outdoor furniture, including wicker, teak, aluminum, wrought iron, and other varieties too.

Most of the time, patio chair pads will come pre-fitted to the various popular sizes and shapes of all styles of furniture. However, if you can’t find a perfect match, it’s always possible to fabricate your own chair pads or have them made professionally. Just measure for the dimensions you’ll need, make a pattern, and then assemble accordingly.

It is important to have all-weather materials for your patio chair pads if you plan on leaving them outside permanently or for extended periods of time. After getting wet, the pads will eventually develop mildew and other unsightly problems. Also, intense sunlight will fade the material over time. If possible, it is best to put the cushions away when not in use.

Cleaning patio furniture pads can be difficult if they are not taken care of to start with. For example, you’ll not just be able to stick them in the washing machine and dryer. Unless specifically recommended, if this is done, the cushions will probably lose their shape and become lumpy. If your pads are pre made, just follow the instructions for cleaning. Other wise, you’ll just have to use your best judgment. Remember, lumpy does not equal comfy!

Just remember, the steps to making your patio more inviting always start with the little things. Adding more comfort is often one of the simplest things to do. Seriously consider patio chair pads for your outdoor furniture!
